Sandwich wall panels are a layer of efficient insulation, lined on both sides with steel galvanised and painted profiled sheet. You can buy a sandwich:
– vertical cut – they are installed vertically and their length is determined by the distance from the top mark of the plinth panel or window to the top mark of the parapet;
– horizontal cut – they are installed horizontally and their length is determined by the distance between the columns of the frame.

Types of sandwich wall panels

• Expanded polystyrene (EPS);
• with mineral wool thermal insulation (MWS).

Other building parameters also influence the choice of wall cladding design, e.g:

• for structures with increased fire risk, non-combustible sandwich panels with mineral wool insulation are purchased;
• Depending on the architectural design of facades and interiors, sandwich wall panels can be ordered in different colours, and the colour of the cladding on the outside and inside can be different.

Features and application

Each insulator has its own thermal conductivity coefficient, so the thickness of the sandwich with different insulation material for the same object will be different. Therefore, before you buy sandwich wall panels, it is necessary to perform a technical calculation, taking into account climatic conditions of the construction area and characteristics of the insulation, to determine the required thickness of the wall envelope.
Sandwich panels can not worry about air tightness of the wall fence, because these structures are available with tongue and groove joint, which provides a high density of joints between panels. Sandwich wall panels are fixed to both steel and reinforced concrete structures using self-tapping screws or special dowels.
